Are there any precautions or drug interactions for Winlevi?

Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to Winlevi or have other problems when using Winlevi. It is crucial to continue using this medication exactly as your doctor prescribes. Winlevi comes as a cream. Apply this medication to the skin only. Do not take it by mouth. Avoid contact with the eyes, nose, or vagina. Before applying the cream, gently wash and dry the affected skin area. After the skin is dry, apply a thin, even layer of Winlevi cream to the affected areas 2 times each day, in the morning and the evening. Avoid using it in the regions that are not affected by acne. Wash your hands after applying the cream so you do not get the medicine accidentally in your eyes, mouth, or other mucous membranes. Do not use Winlevi cream on skin areas with cuts, abrasions, eczema, or sunburned skin. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleansers, scrubs, or other irritating skin products while using Winlevi. Sun exposure can worsen acne and increase the risk of skin irritation. Protect your skin from excessive sun exposure. Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher, especially during the day. It may take several weeks to see noticeable improvement. Do not stop using Winlevi without consulting your doctor, even if you see improvement. Throw away unused portion of the medicine one month after the first opening.

You should not use Winlevi and inform your doctor about your medical history, especially if you have or have had:
• Adrenal gland disorders;
• Severe kidney problems

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant. It is unknown if Clascoterone will harm an unborn baby. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this drug in pregnancy with your doctor. Inform your doctor if you are breastfeeding. It is unknown if Clascoterone passes into breast milk or if it may harm a nursing infant. Discuss the benefits and risks of using this medicine when breastfeeding with your doctor. Winlevi is not safe for use in children below 12 years.

Tell your doctor about all the medications you use, including prescriptions, over-the-counter medications, herbal products, and vitamin supplements, to prevent drug interactions that might be fatal to your health. This drug interaction may make your drug less effective, cause adverse effects, or potentiate other drugs' actions. There may be a drug interaction between Winlevi and other drugs, such as other topical medications, etc.
