You should not take Tekturna if you are allergic to Aliskiren or if you have any other allergies. Taking this medication with high-fat foods will make it harder to absorb Tekturna. Do not use salt-substitutes or potassium supplements while on this medication, unless specifically told by your doctor to do so. Do not take Tekturna if you are pregnant or nursing. If you become pregnant while on this medication, stop using immediately and tell your doctor right away. There may be an interaction between Aliskiren and other medications such as other blood pressure medications, cyclosporine, itraconazole, diuretics, NSAIDs, etc. If you take any of these, talk with your doctor about the risks. Tekturna is stored at room temperature and below 77 degrees F (25 degrees C). It should be stored away from heat, moisture and light. Keep the tablets in their original container, along with the moisture-absorbing packet. Tekturna should be kept away from children and pets.

If an overdose is suspected, seek emergency help or call Poison Control at 1-800-463-5060 immediately if you suspect an overdose.
