What is Taltz Used for?

Taltz (Ixekizumab) is a prescription medicine used to treat plaque psoriasis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis and non-radiographic axial spondylarthritis. The active ingredient in Taltz is Ixekizumab. Ixekizumab belongs to the group of medications called interleukin inhibitors. It works by selectively binding with interleukin 17A (IL-17A) cytokine, a naturally occurring substance that can cause inflammation. Taltz inhibits the release of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines by inhibiting the interaction of IL-17A with the IL-17 receptor. You should use this medication according to your doctor's instruction.
