What is Phenergan Used for?


Phenergan (Promethazine) is a prescription medication used to treat the symptoms of allergic conditions, nausea, vomiting, motion sickness, pre- and post-operative sedation, and obstetric sedation. The active ingredient in Phenergan contain is promethazine hydrochloride. Promethazine belongs to a group of medicines called phenothiazines.
