Orilissa improves the symptoms of endometriosis after one month of taking it. It improves symptoms such as pain during periods, pain between periods, heavy bleeding during periods, pain during sex, pain or discomfort in the belly or pelvic region. Orilissa may help you feel better by reducing your pain. It may also improve emotional well being and helps to get a control over the symptoms. This medication improves endometriosis by lowering the amount of estrogen (responsible for thickening of tissues lining the uterus) in your body. The safety and efficacy of Orilissa are not known in children under 18 years old.

Orilissa should be started within 7 days of menses onset otherwise pregnancy must be excluded prior to therapy.

What Are The Possible Side Effects Of Orilissa?


The most common side effects of Orilissa include hot flashes, night sweats, headache, dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, stomach pain, constipation, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, depression, irritability, mood swings, decreased sex drive, stuffy nose, sore throat, sinus infection, common cold, menstrual bleeding changes such as irregular bleeding or spotting, increase or decrease in bleeding, or no bleeding at all and abnormal blood test results. Do not take Orilissa if you:
• Are allergic to Elagolix or any other ingredients in the medication

• Are taking cyclosporine, used to prevent organ rejection

Before taking Orilissa, inform your doctor if you:

• Have liver problems
