Durolane Syringe (Hyaluronic Acid) is a prescription medication used to treat knee pain caused by osteoarthritis. This medication is usually used when other arthritis medications have not been effective such as acetaminophen. The active ingredient in Durolane is Hyaluronic Acid. Hyaluronic acid belongs to the class of drugs called Hyaluronan (Glycosaminoglycan). Durolane is similar to the fluid that surrounds the joints in your body.
