Edarbyclor comes from Canada and is manufactured by Valeant. The active ingredients in Edarbyclor are Azilsartan Medoxomil and Chlorthalidone.
What Dosages and Forms is Edarbyclor available in?
Edarbyclor is available as tablets in the dosage form of 40mg/12.5 mg, and 40mg/25 mg.
What is Edarbyclor used for?
Edarbyclor is used for lowering severe high blood pressure. It may be used as initial therapy in patients with severe hypertension who are likely to need multiple drugs to achieve blood pressure control. Edarbyclor contains a combination of two drugs, azilsartan medoxomil and chlorthalidone. Azilsartan medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB) and lowers blood pressure. Chlorthalidone is a thiazide-like
diuretic or “water pill” that increases urination. This lowers blood pressure. This medicine does not cure high blood pressure. It helps to control it. Therefore, it is important to continue taking Edarbyclor regularly even if you feel fine. The medication should be taken exactly as told by your doctor. It is recommended to take your dose at the same time every day. The usual starting dose is one tablet of Edarbyclor 40mg/12.5 mg taken by mouth once a day. Your doctor may increase your dose if an additional blood pressure reduction is required. The maximum dose of Edarbyclor is 40mg/25 mg a day. This medication can be taken with or without food.
